SunBonnet Sue My first Quilt

The first quilt I ever made was about 5yrs ago for my grand daughter Serra Jane. It was a SunBonnet Sue appliqued blocks and nine patch crib size.  I have learned soooo much since then.
I think I would be afraid to look at that quilt now...lol.  I also made blocks to match the quilt with letters of the alphabet and little animals machine embroidered on sides of the blocks.

This was the first quilt I ever machine quilted myself. If I had known how to hand quilt at the time I think I would have finished it that way but they say little kids will never notice the stitchs anyway. It turned out well for a first quilt, I think.
